Accreditation for Media Representatives

The Climate Security Festival welcomes journalists who are committed to journalistic principles to the event, but we require advance registration. Media representatives can be accredited for the festival (contact information below) by email or phone by 18 September. Please provide us with the following information: your name, the organization you represent, your arrival time, and any specific requests.

Media representatives can also suggest interviews or topics for publications related to the festival and programs before the event. Interviews can also be arranged during the festival.

Interview Requests

Please inform us in advance if you wish to request an interview with the festival organizers or speakers.

Participant Instructions

During the event, media representatives are expected to follow the same participant guidelines and principles of creating a safer space as other attendees.

Common sessions (on September 21 at 9:00-10:30 AM and on September 22 at 9:00-10:30 AM and 2:00-3:00 PM) at the Finnish Meteorological Institute's premises do not require separate access or filming permits.

Chatham House rules apply to workshop activities. Media representatives can participate in workshops, but should not solely observe them as representatives of their own media outlets. Workshop content should not be recorded or documented for anyone else than the participants. A summary of the workshops will be presented to all attendees on September 22, starting at approximately 2:00 PM.

Arrival

Please note that there are very limited parking options around the Kumpula campus. We recommend using public transportation as a primary option or seeking parking a bit farther away. For accessibility-related questions, please contact the festival organizers. Name tags can be picked up from the lobby of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (Dynamicum, Erik Palmenin aukio 1) across the information desk.
